Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you explore her inner world through the cuisine she creates. Her curiosity grew as she left the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. The carnetas and the Cavatelli, she believes, can coexist on the identical menu. Her taste is constantly developing. What remains, however, throughout her menu is an unifying vision of the future that longingly remembers the past. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. The restaurant's version of traditional Italian cuisine is one of Los Angeles's most popular restaurants. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons for its food, which is authentic and deliciously satisfying. Lofaso studied from chefs who used sophisticated techniques. However, she didn't hesitate to take extreme risk to follow her own instincts. After quickly rising through the ranks She transformed a variety of Los Angeles high-profile restaurants while working with high-profile stars. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to launch Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso was able to find a place in Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. Lofaso would find the freedom to be creative that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market's goal is not to be restricted by any means. The menu could start with potato chips dill, shishito chilies and then move on to a Korean food item called meatballs, and wings. Antonia anchors the bold range of flavors. The success of Lofaso has been judged by her ability to be honest with herself, while understanding her audience. She's appeared on of a variety of television shows including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents have continued to be showcased as a judge for CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso released The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Simple and Delicious Recipes, in 2012, with Penguin. The book also tells the story of how she faced challenges while she studied in her school, the French Culinary Institute. She also raised her daughter Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso believes that the main source of all her successes is the kitchen she uses. In this way, she keeps a steady finger in the pulse. Chefletics revolutionizes the look of Chefwear with its emphasis on fashion and practicality. What matters to Lofaso is staying true to the vision you have set. With this goal, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering, which will convey a more tailored approach to providing clients with an experience that is uniquely personal.
